We are big fans of the delicious foods at Disneyland, so we decided to make a list of our very favorites to share with all of you. Erica and I recently made trips to take pictures of our favorite treats and menu items- we even tried a few new things that made the list. We decided to make a separate list for our favorite foods at Disney’s California Adventure so be sure to check out that list too! (HERE) Right now Disneyland is especially magical as they are celebrating their 60th anniversary! So if you are planning a trip you definitely want to plan on seeking out some of these tasty foods and treats. Putting this together is making me want to go back and eat these all again! If one of your favorites didn’t make the list, be sure to tell us about it in the comments. 🙂 ALSO, if you want an added discount (enough to cover some of these yummy treats) go to Get Away Today and use the discount code: FAVORITE Think of it as our little gift to you so you can try some of these!
1. The Dole Whip and Dole Whip Float in Adventureland
What kind of Disneyland food list would this be if we didn’t start out with the famous Dole Whips? You can find these right outside the famous Tikki Room. People waiting to go into the Tikki Room have their own line for Dole Whips, which is usually a much shorter wait.
2. Tavern Nachos at Mickey’s Magical Map
These nachos are like a loaded baked potato and are a fairly new food item at Disneyland. They are oh so good! These nachos are served with kettle chips covered in cheese, bacon, sour cream, and chives. We got some to eat while we enjoyed the show.
3. Mickey Mouse Beignets in New Orleans Square
I am a huge beignet fan! You can find these cute Mickey shaped beignets at the Mint Julep Bar, or if you eat at the Cafe Orleans you can get the beignets with dipping sauces.
4. Mint Juleps in New Orleans Square
This is a non-alcoholic drink that kind of tastes like a mint lime soda. I could drink these all day. You can find them at the Mint Julep Bar right by the train stop in New Orleans Square.
5. Steak Gumbo in New Orleans Square
Both the steak and vegetable Gumbos are amazing, you can find these at the Royal Street Veranda in New Orleans Square.
6. Monte Cristos in New Orleans Square
If you have never had a Monte Cristo, Disneyland is the best place to try one! You can get these at Cafe Orleans and the Blue Bayou Restaurant. If you are going for Blue Bayou, be sure to get a reservation in advance. It is in the Pirate’s of the Caribbean ride and the atmosphere is amazing, but it books out fast.
7. Crispy Chicken Sandwiches in Critter Country
I love this Crispy Chicken Sandwich at the Hungry Bear Cafe. It has a really yummy honey mustard sauce and I always get mine with their tasty sweet potato fries.
8. Big Al’s Chicken Salad (with Watermelon) in Critter Country
This salad is seriously to die for. It comes with Smoked Chicken, Watermelon, Candied Pecans, Dried Cherries, Pickled Red Onions, and Honey-Lime Vinaigrette. At the Hungry Bear Cafe.
9. Fried Green Tomato Sandwiches in Critter Country
These famous sandwiches are a Cornmeal-crusted Fried Green Tomatoes layered with two slices of fresh Heirloom Tomatoes topped with Havarti, Rémoulade, Jicama-Mango Slaw and served on a Multi-Grain Roll (top it off with a side of sweet potato fries). It is bursting with flavor and seriously so good!
10. Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Sandwich
A favorite peanut butter, graham cracker treat at the Pooh Corner Bakery, right across from the exit of Splash Mountain.
11. Tigger Tails
Another tasty treat from the Pooh Corner Bakery, this was my daughter’s favorite treat of all! Marshmallow dipped in caramel, covered in sprinkles, and drizzled with chocolate stripes.
12. Disneyland Corn Dogs
Disneyland Corndogs are seriously my favorite corndogs anywhere, they are so good! You can find these in several places in Disneyland and they usually come with kettle chips, the only place that you can get them with french fries is at the Stage Door Cafe in Frontierland.
13. Toasted Ham and Apple Sandwich on Main Street Disneyland
This tasty sandwich is a new menu item this spring at the Jolly Holiday Bakery. It is served with Ham and Swiss and a tangy Apple Chutney.
14. Matterhorn Macaroons on Main Street Disneyland
This is my favorite macaroon of all time. The top is covered in white chocolate to make a mini replica of the famous Matterhorn ride.
15. Seasonal Cupcakes on Main Street Disneyland
These yummy cupcakes have different fun decorations each season. Right now it is a cute spring Olaf cupcake. You can find these at the Jolly Holiday Bakery.
16. Caprese on Focaccia Bread on Main Street Disneyland
Another favorite sandwich at the Jolly Holiday Bakery. Can you tell that we kind of love this restaurant? This sandwich comes with Tomato, Mozzarella, Basil, Lettuce, Citrus Aïoli, Basil Vinaigrette and Balsamic Glaze. I had this more than once. 🙂
