Maple-Glazed Bacon-Wrapped SmokiesThis Thanksgiving we were ALL together and we pretty much ate constantly from Wednesday night until Sunday morning. We ate SO much good food, it was ridiculous! Our brother, Devin, brought up his smoker and smoked the turkey for our feast and it was AMAZING. I am not even kidding, it was the best turkey I have ever eaten (click HERE if you want the recipe). Since he already had his smoker up here, we made him whip up some smoked smokies as an appetizer for the football games that were on.. they were out of this world good. I can’t even being to describe how good these were. They are a perfect balance of sweet and savory… and being smoked on the smoker took them to a whole new level. We devoured them in about 5 seconds.

 

Of course, if you don’t have a smoker, you can just bake them in the oven and they will still be absolutely delicious (click HERE to see how to do them in the oven).. but if you have a smoker… SMOKE THEM! They are incredible. Trust me. If you take these to a tailgate party, or any party really, you will be the star. Before you make them, think of how many you THINK everyone will eat.. and double it.. no… triple it.. because no matter how many you make, it won’t be enough. People won’t be able to keep their hands off them. So there you have my praises about the amazing-ness of these smokies… now try them. You will love them!

Here are the ingredients you will need:
1 lb. bacon, cut in thirds
1 (14oz.) package Lil’ Smokies
1 c. brown sugar
maple syrup, to taste
