- 1 ½ pounds beef sirloin steak
- 2 teaspoons Montreal Steak Seasoning
- 16 ounces butter lettuce or your favorite salad blend
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes sliced
- 2 avocados sliced
- 1 red bell pepper sliced
- ½ cup blue cheese crumbled
- blue cheese dressing for serving
Sprinkle steaks with Montreal Steak Seasoning and let them come to room temperature on the counter. Heat a grill or cast iron skillet to medium high heat. (If using a cast iron skillet, add a few tablespoons of neutral oil to the pan before heating).
Place steaks on the grill and cook for approximately 4 to 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness. I like it cooked medium, 140℉-150℉, so it's not too dry. Allow to cool for 5 minutes and then slice into thin strips.
Assemble the salad by placing the lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, bell pepper, and blue cheese in a large bowl. Top with steak slices. You can also arrange the salads on individual plates.
Top with blue cheese dressing.
- Nutrition does not include salad dressing.
- The steak will cook more evenly if you allow it to come to room temperature before cooking.
