Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread
  • 6 slices cheese (I used 2 slices each of cheddar, provolone, and Colby Jack)
  • 9-12 slices deli meats (I used 3 slices of each of ham, turkey, pastrami, and pepperoni)
  • 4 bacon slices
  • 2 tablespoons mayonaise
  • 3 lettuce leaves
  • 6 cucumber slices
  • 4 tomato slices
  • 3 pickle slices

Instructions

  • Lightly toast the bread.
Four slices of lightly toasted bread on a large cutting board.
  • Spread a tablespoon of mayo on one side of the bread and follow by two slices of any cheese and meats.
Three slices of toasted bread next to a slice of bread topped with mayo, cheese, ham and bacon.
  • Add vegetable slices then place a slice of bread to the top and continue following the same pattern with cheese, meat and vegetables.
Stocking layers of a Dagwood sandwich with bread, cheddar cheese, ham, bacon, cucumber, lettuce, toasted bread, turkey breast, pepperoni and tomato on a cutting board.
  • Spread mayo onto the final slice of bread for the top and place mayo side down. Use a long toothpick to keep it all together.
