Dirt Cups

These fun Dirt Cups layer creamy chocolate pudding, Oreo ‘soil,’ and gummy worms for the ultimate kid-approved (and adult-but-kid-at-heart) treat!

Equipment

  • 5 clear plastic cups (9 ounce)

Ingredients

  • 15 Oreo cookies
  • 3.9 ounces instant chocolate pudding
  • 2 cups milk (2% works best)
  • 8 ounce Whipped topping thawed
  • 15 gummy worms

Instructions

  • Crush Oreo cookies in a sealed ziplock bag using a rolling pin or food processor. Set aside.

  • In a large glass mixing bowl, combine instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk with a whisk. Whisk for about 5 minutes until it starts to thicken.

  • Fold whipped topping into chocolate pudding mixture until well combined.

  • Assemble the dirt cups first with one spoonful of crushed Oreos in the bottom of the clear cup.

  • Spoon two spoonfuls of chocolate pudding mix on top.

  • Repeat last two steps again making layers of the crushed Oreos and pudding mixture.

  • Final step will be crushed Oreos with gummy worms on the very top.

  • For best results, place on a tray to help transport them to the refrigerator and allow them to chill for at least 1 hour. Remove from refrigerator when you are ready to serve.

Notes

The 9oz plastic cups were filled to the top for this recipe. This can easily be made into 10 9oz dirt cups with smaller layers that only come half way in the cup.  
Storage tips: Cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Add gummy worms after refrigerating to they taste fresh. Freezing is not recommended.
