Fresh Strawberry Pie
Fresh Strawberry Pie is the perfect summer dessert when strawberries are in season. The tart berries, sweet filling, and flakey, buttery crust are a match made in heaven!

Take 1 cup of the strawberries and lightly crush them. Add them to a pot with the water and bring to a boil.
Boil for 3 minutes and then remove the berries. Leave the juice in the pot. Whisk in sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Simmer over medium high heat until the mixture thickens.
Remove from heat cool in the fridge until glaze is thickened, about two hours.
Add the rest of the sliced berries to a large bowl. Pour the cooled glaze over the top and mix until all the berries are coated. Pour the filling into the pie crust.
Refrigerate until the filling is set, about two hours.
Top with whipped cream or ice cream and serve.
