Hot Crab Dip

This crab dip is THE BEST hot seafood dip for parties and gatherings. Filled with flavorful lump crab and cheese, it cooks until it's hot and bubbly and just right for dipping.

Equipment

  • 8 inch oven safe skillet (or pie plate)

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces lump crab meat
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (Tabasco or Crystal)
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese
  • green onion for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven for 400℉. In a large bowl combine all ingredients except for the crab meat and parmesan cheese. When the ingredients are mixed together, add the crab meat and stir until well combined.
    Glass bowl with Hot Crab Dip mixing with spoon.
  • Place mixture into 8" oven proof skillet or 9-inch pie plate and spread evenly. Bake for 22-25 minutes.
    Skillet with Hot Crab Dip spread smooth.
  • After 22-25 minutes, top with parmesan cheese and broil for 2-3 more minutes until the top starts to bubble and turn a light golden brown.

  • Let it cool for 5 minutes and serve with your favorite dipping crackers, bread or veggies.
