Meatball Sub Sandwiches

Make restaurant quality sandwiches at home that will have your mouth watering. These meatball subs are always a hit for the entire family!

Ingredients

  • 24 meatballs cooked (choose your favorite meatball recipe from above or use store-bought)
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 sandwich rolls
  • fresh basil optional garnish
  • fresh parmesan cheese optional

Instructions

  • Place meatballs and marinara in a pan to simmer for about 5 minutes.

  • Slice sandwich rolls, but do not cut them through. Arrange on a baking sheet.

  • Place marinara meatballs into sandwich rolls and be sure to spoon in the sauce.

  • Cut the cheese slices in half and place over the meatballs in the rolls.

  • Broil on high for 2-3 minutes. Be sure to watch close so they don't burn, but just melt the cheese and toast the rolls. Garnish with fresh cut basil and freshly grated parmesan cheese.
