Preheat oven to 400℉. Heat a skillet to medium heat and add sausage and onions. Cook until sausage is browned all the way through and onions are soft. Add garlic and cook for 1-2 more minutes. Drain any excess grease.
Add 3 cups of pasta sauce to the sausage mixture. Stir to combine. Cover and simmer over low heat while you prepare the other ingredients.
In a large bowl combine ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese.
Spray an 11x7 pan. Coat the bottom of the pan with a thin layer of meat sauce.
Add a layer of ravioli.
Add ½ of the remaining meat sauce.
Top meat sauce with ½ of the cheese mixture and 1 cup of mozzarella.
Repeat each layer one more time. Sprinkle extra parmesan over the top of the mozzarella if desired.
Cover with tin foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove tin foil and bake for 15 more minutes or until cheese is browning and bubbling.
Top with basil and serve.
