Ingredients

Queso

  • 1 (16-ounce) container salsa verde
  • 1 (4.5 ounce) container of diced green chiles
  • 1 pound Velveeta cheese, roughly cubed
  • cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons Valentina hot sauce, plus more for serving

Garnish

Instructions

  • Place salsa verde, green chiles, and cheese cubes in a large pot.

  • Heat over medium until the cheese melts. Then stir in heavy cream and hot sauce. Let simmer for a few minutes.

  • Serve with more hot sauce, cilantro, guacamole, and cotija cheese.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
  • If your queso is a little thin, you can add about 1/3 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese to thicken it.
  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce depending on how spicy you want your queso.
