Dunkaroo Dip

This creamy Dunkaroo Dip has all the fun cake batter flavor without using cake mix, so it stays smooth and creamy. Perfect for lunch boxes, parties, or after-school snacks!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cake batter extract use clear extract to keep the frosting whiter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract use clear vanilla extract to keep the frosting brighter
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
  • 1 (8-ounce) tub Cool Whip or 2 cups whipped cream, optional for a fluffier dip

Instructions

  • Using a stand mixer or electric mixer with a whisk attachment, whip the butter for 2-3 minutes on high speed.

  • On low speed, gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until it is all combined scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.

  • Add the vanilla extract, cake batter flavor and heavy cream. If it is too thick, add a little more cream until it reaches the right consistency. Whip on high speed for 2-3 minutes.
    For a lighter, fluffier dip, you can also fold in an 8-ounce container of whipped topping or 2 cups of whipped cream before adding the sprinkles (totally optional).

  • Fold in the rainbow sprinkles until they are evenly mixed.

  • Cover the dip or store in an airtight container until ready to use. Serve with your favorite treats for dipping like mini Nilla wafers, teddy grahams or graham crackers.

Notes

  • Use jimmies or confetti sprinkles instead of nonpareils so the colors don’t bleed into the dip.
  • For a lighter, fluffier dip, fold in 2 cups whipped cream or one 8-ounce container of whipped topping.
  • If the dip is too thick, add a little more heavy cream, 1 tablespoon at a time.
  • Let refrigerated dip sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving so it softens up.
