Greek Fries

These Greek Fries are crispy and packed with flavor! They are the perfect appetizer topped with feta and dill. Don't forget the feta dip!

Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 4 ounces Feta cheese crumbled
  • fresh dill for garnish

Feta Dip

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 ounces feta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Wash the potatoes and cut them into your desired fry shape. Soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes.

  • Drain the fries and pat them dry. Add the fries to a bowl and toss in oil and spices.

  • Place the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Try to spread them out so that they are not touching.

  • Bake at 375 for 20 minutes. Flip the fries then turn the oven up to 425 and bake for 20-25 more minutes. If you want extra crispiness, broil for a few minutes until the fries are golden brown and crisp to your liking.

  • Place fries on a plate or platter and top with feta cheese and fresh dill.

Feta Dip

  • Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.

  • Serve with Greek fries.

Notes

  • Greek Fries also taste great dipped in tzatziki sauce or garlic aioli.
  • I like to use the feta that comes in a block instead of crumbles. The feta from a block is creamier. 
  • To make things easier you can use frozen french fries. Cook the fries halfway, according to package directions and then toss with spices. Finish cooking according to package directions.
