Notes

  • Use a large, soft tortilla so there is enough room to fold in the sides.
  • Warm a cold tortilla in the microwave for about 10 seconds to keep it from cracking.
  • Do not overfill the tortilla or it will be difficult to roll.
  • Drain the banana peppers well and pat any tomatoes dry before adding them.
  • For packed lunches, use the dressing lightly or serve it on the side to prevent sogginess.
  • Wrap the finished Italian Sandwich Wrap tightly in plastic wrap, parchment paper, or foil and keep it chilled.
  • Spinach, whole wheat, sun-dried tomato, garlic herb, and gluten-free tortillas can be substituted.
  • For a low-carb option, use a large green leaf or romaine lettuce leaf instead of a tortilla.
  • Add capicola, Genoa salami, turkey, mozzarella, red onion, olives, tomato, pesto, mayonnaise, or fresh basil to change the flavor.
