- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons dill pickles chopped
Place all ingredients, except chopped pickles, in a blender. Blend until smooth.
Pour into a medium sized bowl and stir in the chopped pickles. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours to set up.
- Use thick ketchup-style chili sauce, not thin spicy chili sauce.
- Stir in the pickles after blending so the dressing keeps a little texture.
- Chill for at least 3 hours for the best flavor and texture.
- Add horseradish or hot sauce if you want more zip.
- Ketchup can be used instead of chili sauce, but add a small splash of vinegar to balance the sweetness.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- Freezing is not recommended because the mayonnaise base can separate.
