This Cupcake Christmas Tree is the BEST dessert to bring to holiday parties. Not only does it look adorable, but the cupcakes are INCREDIBLY moist and the frosting is to die for!
Christmas Tree Cupcakes
This dessert has a big wow-factor without hours of work! I am all for simple yet classy! 😉 I got the recipe for these Christmas Tree Cupcakes from my friend Lizzy Early in her book Your Cup of Cake. Check out her blog here! When I first saw mayonnaise on the ingredient list I had my doubts, but TRUST ME, it makes all the difference. It makes the cupcakes so moist! I also love that they have almond extract in them. You really can’t go wrong adding almond to a dessert in my opinion!
Tips for Decorating Christmas Tree Cupcakes
To decorate these cupcakes, I used a piping bag and a large swirl tip. Make sure that you rinse and dry the piping bag REALLY well between each color. Also, make sure that the cupcakes are cooled completely before you frost them, otherwise the frosting will melt. When you are making the frosting, if it gets too stiff, you can add a tablespoon of milk to soften it. If it is not stiff enough, add a little powdered sugar at a time until it reaches the desired consistency. If you aren’t serving these right away, make sure to store them in an airtight container. To switch things up, you can use red and white frosted cupcakes to create a Santa hat or a candy cane!

What is a “cube” of butter please?
We use “sticks” or quarter lbs.
Echo Blickenstaff says
Thank you for asking. 1 cube is equivalent to 1/2 cup or a quarter pound. I will fix this on the recipe.
