Ingredients in Easy Baked Brie with Jam

Elevate your baked brie with jam recipe by enhancing these simple ingredients on a wheel of brie. This easy appetizer recipe will be your go-to party brie every time you need to serve friends and family. Add this to your charcuterie board or cheese board, or simply leave it on a platter for easy dipping!

  • Brie cheese wheel – Brie cheese is a melty cheese with a mild, buttery, creamy taste. It is encased in a rind of white mold. I know what you are thinking, MOLD? Yes, mold. But, unlike other mold, this one won’t make you sick. It is a type of edible mold that adds texture and so much flavor to the cheese. I know it sounds weird, but trust me it is so delicious!
  • Honey – A drizzle of honey adds sweetness to the baked brie.
  • Cranberry sauce – Make your own homemade cranberry sauce or make it quicker by using the cranberry sauce from the can.
  • Pecans – Chopped pecans give this dish a bit of a crunch!
  • Fresh rosemary – Rosemary pairs perfectly with the cranberry and brie flavors. Plus, it makes it look festive and fancy!

How to Make Oven-Baked Brie and Jam

We are skipping the puff pastry sheet and using natural and healthy ingredients to make this baked brie come alive! For a smaller crowd, you can use a wedge of brie or bake the whole wheel. Baked brie with jam is the best appetizer to make quickly and easily!

  1. Prepare brie – Use a sharp knife to score the top of the brie. Place on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, or a small casserole dish.
  2. Toppings – Start adding the toppings with honey, cranberry sauce, pecans, and fresh rosemary.
  3. Bake in the oven – Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. The cheese should be soft, but not completely melted out of shape. Move to a serving platter and serve immediately.

Tips for the Best Baked Brie with Jam Recipe

Your guests are going to be dreaming of this baked brie with jam all through the holidays! It is a hit for kids to adults! This appetizer is simple to make and comes together quickly and easily right before your friends and family arrive. Follow these helpful tips to make this baked brie with jam perfect every time!

  • Quality – With brie, you will want to choose high-quality cheese that is ripe and creamy with a nutty flavor. The quality of the cheese will affect the flavor and outcome of the appetizer.
  • Flavors – Try different jams or even a spicy jelly for more flavors.
  • Add nuts – Sprinkle almonds, pecans, or walnuts overtop the baked brie with jam.
  • Don’t overbake – It is best to watch the brie as it is baking. It does not take long for the cheese to soften and become gooey in the middle. If the cheese spills over in the baking dish, it is overcooked.

  • Pumpkin butter – This is the perfect flavor in the fall with roasted pumpkin seeds and various seasonings. It is a great combination!
  • Brown sugar – You can’t go wrong with brown sugar! It is the best blend of sweetness carmelized overtop the cheese.
  • Nuts – Different nuts can create various flavors and textures. Try it with walnuts, pistachios, almonds, or macadamia nuts to add that extra crunch and flavor to every bite!
  • Herbs – Fresh herbs like fresh thyme or sage add color as well as a hint of freshness!
  • For Brie En Croute – Wrap and fold the whole thing with cheese, cranberry sauce, pecans, and rosemary in a puff pastry dough and brush with an egg wash. Bake until pastry is golden brown and flaky.
