Since it has it’s own unique and delicious menus, we decided to make a separate list of our favorite foods at California Adventure. I love that California Adventure pulled in some amazing restaurants that are locally from California. We used to live in the San Francisco Bay area and were crazy about Boudin sourdough and Ghirardelli chocolate. It’s so fun to be able to go to Disneyland and Disney’s C.A. get to eat these things again.
If you missed our list of favorite foods in Disneyland, be sure to check them out HERE. If you are planning a trip you definitely want to plan on seeking out some of these tasty foods and treats. If one of your favorites didn’t make the list, be sure to tell us about it in the comments.

1. Ghirardelli Hot Fudge Sundae
Ghirardelli Hot Fudge Sundaes hold a special place in my heart. Not only are they the best sundaes in the world (seriously), but it reminds me of our trips into San Francisco when we lived in the bay area. We always had to visit the Ghirardelli factory and get one of these to share, and we always got the dark chocolate hot fudge! Trust me on this one, it is amazing! It is now one of the things I get excited about when we are planning a trip to Disneyland, I am so happy they have a shop in California Adventure! The banana split is also to die for!!
2. Boudin Sourdough Bread Bowl Chinese Chicken Salad
This tasty salad comes with Diced Chicken, fresh Salad Greens, Won Tons, Almonds, Sesame Seeds and Scallions with a Soy Ginger Dressing all in a delicious sourdough bread bowl. This was the perfect lunch on a hot day. You can get these at the Pacific Wharf Cafe right next to the Boudin Bakery Tour.
3. Clam Chowder in a Boudin Sourdough Bread Bowl
Clam chowder should always be served in a sourdough bread bowl. We used to get these exact things on Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. They are so incredible, if you love clam chowder- this is an absolute must! You can get these at the Pacific Wharf Cafe right next to the Boudin Bakery Tour.
4. Churro Bites with Cinnamon-Spiced Chocolate Dipping Sauce at the Cozy Cones
Disneyland is famous for their delicious churros, but I had to save my favorite Churro for the Churro Bites at the cozy cones. They win hands down because of the tasty cinnamon chocolate dipping sauce. And the bite size pieces make them much easier to share. We love the cozy cones, it’s our favorite place to get a quick mid day snack and then get back to the fun.
5. Ramone’s “Pear of Dice” Soda at the Cozy Cones
A yummy pear flavored drink. I liked this one a lot because it’s not over-powering with sweetness. It’s a great refreshment to cool you down on a hot California day.
6. Bacon Mac and Cheese in a Bread Cone at the Cozy Cones
What could be better than mac and cheese on the go in an edible cone? We shared one of these as a snack and we were fighting over the last bites.
7. Doc’s Wild Grape Tonic at the Cozy Cones
A yummy grape flavored drink that my daughter is crazy about.
8. Asian Rice Bowl with Beef at the Lucky Fortune Cookery
I love that these are custom made the way that you like them. These are served with Steamed Rice, Seared Asian Vegetables and your choice of sauce: Mandarin Orange, Spicy Korean, Thai Coconut Curry, or Teriyaki.
9. Custom Kebab Platters at the Paradise Garden Grill
This was probably my favorite meal to get while we were in California Adventure. It was so yummy and so filling. We were usually pretty depleted by dinner time from all our running around and this meal was seriously the best for re-charging me. I loved the steak and my husband loved the chicken. We definitely ate here more than once. This was right next to the Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta which was so nice if our kids wanted Pizza, we could all get what we wanted and sit together in the outdoor tables. Here is how it works:
Choose your favorite protein—grilled steak, lemon-oregano chicken, ground beef kefta or tofu and vegetable—then choose which sauce you’d like on the side:
Moroccan chili – tomato, spicy harissa chili and garlic
Chimichurri – fresh herbs, citrus, garlic and olive oil
Tzatziki – cucumber, garlic, lemon juice and Greek yogurt (my favorite)
Each plate comes with a yummy flavored rice pilaf, cucumber salad, and grilled pita bread
10. Chicken Sun-dried Tomato Pesto at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta
This is a yummy Campanelle Pasta tossed with Sun-dried Tomato Pesto Cream Sauce. Another favorite of ours here was the Five Cheese Ravioli in Basil Pesto Sauce. They were both so good, it was hard to pick which one we liked the best. Another favorite thing of ours here was the a-la-carte kids menu. This was perfect for my picky eater. We could pick out a Smuckers un-crustables peanut butter and jelly sandwich, some apple slices, and some chocolate milk while we ate delicious pizza and pasta. Everyone was happy.
11. Lobster Nachos at the Cove Bar on Paradise Pier
These tasty nachos are definitely a fan favorite at California Adventure. They come with tender Lobster Pieces atop fresh Corn Tortilla Chips, Black Beans, Pico de Gallo, Serrano Peppers, Cilantro, Chipotle Crema, and Jack and Cheddar Cheeses. The Cove Bar is right above Ariel’s Grotto and has an amazing view of the pier.
12. Cream Cheese Pretzels and Jalapeño Cheese Pretzels at Bayside Brews on Paradise Pier
These pretzels are both so good, go for the Jalapeño if you are in the savory mood and the cream cheese filled if you are wanting something more sweet. You can also find these at the Refreshment Corner on Main Street in Disneyland.
