Feature Friday: 50+ Swimsuit Friendly Recipes

Feature Friday: 50+ Swimsuit Friendly Recipes

Yesterday, I was looking out the window at the melting snow thinking of how excited I was for summer to come…. but my excitement came to a sudden halt when I looked down and realized I could barely see my feet. Summer can’t come quite yet. Even though I am SO ready for Winter to be over, I am not ready for Summer. Not even close.

I don’t want to be caught like a deer in headlights when June rolls around and I haven’t done anything the past few months to get in any kind of shape. If you are like me, your New Year’s resolution went up in flames about 3 weeks ago.I keep thinking “It is still FREEZING outside… I have PLENTY of time to get ready for Summer!”. This is the dangerous thought-trap I get into every year around this time. More times than not I end up doing nothing and find myself crash dieting a week before our first lake trip (am I the only one who does this?).

I have a good 4 months before I need to attempt squeezing into that swimsuit so I am going to start NOW! Who’s with me? I could use all the help and motivation I can get. Feel free to comment below with any helpful, motivational tips or advice. I am open to it ALL! Until then, here are some TASTY Swimsuit Friendly recipes to make losing weight less tedious. Instead of picking up a pizza for dinner or throwing together that 9,000-calorie-per-serving casserole — lighten up and try one of these recipes!
(Exact calories and servings aren’t provided in the recipes so feel free to punch in the ingredients into an online calorie calculator like this one HERE. MOST of our recipes serve 4-6)

  1. Woohoo!! I cannot wait to try all of these!

  2. Melissa J says:

Thank you so much! I’m trying so hard to eat low calorie foods right now. Using a calorie counter app (Lose it) and now you’ve given me some great new recipes to try!!

  3. You guys are freakn awesome.

  4. You can do it! I, too, am attempting to lose weight and get in shape for bathing suit season. And I’ve been working really hard at it. Of course, the most difficult task: cutting back on food. I LOVE food. I’ve been working out since November, which is unbelievable since I’ve never joined a gym or anything like that in my entire life. And I tried dieting for a bit, but gave up after about a month. I just started dieting again, and in two weeks, I lost 7 pounds, just by working out and eating better! So, I guess what I’m trying to say is, if this gym-hating, food-guzzling queen can do it, so can you!! Thanks for sharing these delicious recipes! I needed a few more to add to my diet! Keep us updated with your progress!

    • Thanks so much for the comment! So far, I’m not doing awesome… BUT I have a 5K I need to train for so I need to just do it! Thanks for you words of motivation!
