Ingredients You’ll Need

Ingredients to make Arby's red sauce including brown sugar, ketchup, salt, apple cider vinegar, water, garlic powder, onion powder and Frank's Red Hot sauce.
  • Ketchup – half a cup ketchup, any brand will work great. If you like more of a tomato flavor, you can add a squirt of tomato paste.
  • Apple cider vinegar – one tablespoon. Find it next to the regular vinegar in the grocery store. It has a deeper, tangier flavor than regular white vinegar.
  • Brown sugar – one tablespoon, or a bit more if you like a sweeter sauce.
  • Water – a couple of tablespoons to thin out the sauce.
  • Salt – just a pinch to taste
  • Garlic powder – a quarter teaspoon
  • Onion powder – a quarter teaspoon
  • Frank’s Hot Sauce – to taste. This is optional but if you like a spicy kick, this is the perfect ingredient. You can also use a dash or two of tabasco sauce.

What is Arby’s Sauce made of?

Ingredients can vary slightly, but for the most part, a copycat Arby’s sauce includes ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, onion powder, garlic powder, or Worcestershire sauce.

Is Arby’s sauce and red ranch sauce the same thing?

Make Ahead and Storage

This sauce stays fresh in a covered container for at about 1-2 weeks in the fridge. If you want it to last longer, you can chill it in the freezer for about a month. Just make sure it’s completely covered in an airtight container. Thaw in the refrigerator, or warm up in the microwave to use.
