Make this perfect witches brew for your kids and crew! Halloween punch is creepy, sour, and sweet.
This punch is so much fun to make for my kids and their friends on Halloween! It’s a non-alcoholic punch that guests young and old can enjoy. I throw a Halloween dinner party every year and this punch is always on the menu. It’s bright, slightly sour, has bubbles, and is green! Both kids and adults love looking into the large punch bowl and seeing the bobbing apple heads floating around. It’s the perfect Halloween party punch!
Try adding some dry ice to make it even more bubbly and to add a cool vapor effect. Just be sure to take extra care when handling the dry ice. Decorate your table with gummy worms, candy eyeballs, plastic spiders, and the best Halloween treats to maximize the cuteness and deliciousness of this punch!
Halloween Punch Ingredients
The ingredients you need for this recipe are pretty simple:
- Water- the colder the better. This is mixed with the green punch powder to create the base for the punch.
- Ginger ale- chilled, will add a slight spice and the bubbles of course.
- Pineapple juice- chilled, gives a perky sweetness and slight sour flavor that we all love.
- Jolly Rancher Green Apple “On-The-Go” packets- pucker up! These are sour, sweet, and GREEN! You can find these at Walmart.
- Granny Smith apples- you’ll be cutting these into little bobbing heads to float in your potion.
- Lime sherbet- the perfect garnish, the sherbet ghoulishly melts into the punch, looking cool and spooky. I think green is more fun than orange on Halloween, much more witchy.
How to Make Halloween Punch
Make the apple “heads” – To make your Halloween Punch, first you need to make the apple faces. Do this by peeling the apple, leave the stems on and the core intact, and it’s so easy your kids can do it! Let your kids carve out the eyeballs and smiles or frowns into the apple faces.
Bake the apples – Next, place your little apple faces on a baking sheet and bake at 200℉ for 15 minutes. Place in the refrigerator to cool.
Make the punch – To make the punch, combine cold water, chilled ginger ale, chilled pineapple juice, and Jolly Rancher Green Apple “On-The-Go” packets in a large punch bowl. Stir well.
Serve – Add the apple heads and scoops of lime sherbet and serve immediately.
Low(er) Sugar Variations
Looking to cut down on sugar? No problem, there are a few different substitutions you can make to cut back on the sugar content of this punch:
- Sprite Zero (instead of Ginger Ale)
- Diet Ginger Ale (instead of Ginger Ale)
- Simply Light Lemonade (instead of pineapple juice)
- Ginger Beer (instead of Ginger Ale- this non-alcoholic soda will add a very spicy flavor)
