This refreshing Orange Pineapple Banana Smoothie is a great start to the day! It is smooth, creamy, and full of tropical flavors.
It is so sweet and fruity, and SO easy to make. It took me less than 5 minutes to throw this smoothie together and it made a perfect breakfast! We got a box of fresh oranges for Christmas and I have been DYING to throw them in the blender! They are so sweet and juicy! When you peel the orange, make sure to get as much of the skin off as possible so the smoothie is, for lack of a better word….smoother.
I always feel so yucky after eating all the holiday sweets that come to our house and drinking a fresh smoothie just makes me feel so much better! It is a nice change to all the heavy, winter recipes. I like to keep frozen fruit on hand for smoothies in the morning. You can even bag up the ingredients ahead of time in a gallon ziplock bag and stick it in the freezer until you are ready to make it (leave out the orange juice and add it when you are ready to blend). This recipe makes five cups, which is about three servings, depending on how big you like your smoothies.
Try it any time of year for a fresh, fruity, and packed with vitamin C drink.
- 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
- 3 medium oranges peeled
- 2 very ripe bananas
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- Blend all ingredients together until smooth. Makes about 5 cups.
