How to Make Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Video
Ingredients
- 20 fresh strawberries (more or less depending on the size)
- 12 ounces melting chocolate (chocolate melts or chocolate bark)
- 6 ounces white chocolate melting chocolate (optional)
- decorating sprinkles to taste
Instructions
- Wash and dry strawberries. Set aside.
- Melt chocolate according to package instructions or use a double-boiler method. We did the double-boiled method using a pressure cooker. We placed 1 cup of water in the pressure cooker and pressed "saute" then placed a large glass bowl over the top. This allows the chocolate to melt and too hot.
- Stir chocolate until smooth and melted.
- Dip each strawberry into the chocolate and rotate until covered in chocolate. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Place strawberries on a sheet of parchment paper of wax paper to cool and harden.
- Melt white chocolate (optional) and place in a plastic Ziplock bag. Using sharp scissors, snip off a tiny bit of the corner and drizzle over the top of the strawberries. If you prefer, you can sprinkle sprinkles over the strawberries as a decoration as well.
- These chocolate covered strawberries can be cooled and refrigerated for up to 2 days before serving.
I want all of these desserts! But nothing will ever compare to a sweet juicy chocolate covered strawberry!
