Valentine’s Day Cookies and Brownies

We love decorating cookies for Valentine’s Day. It is a fun tradition where we can get the kids involved. You can make simple sugar cookies with frosting or go all-out and make fancy cookies with royal icing. Then, add festive sprinkles and deliver them to your Valentine.

Bite-Sized Valentine’s Day Desserts

These cute bite-sized Valentine’s Day desserts are perfect for anyone who wants a fancy dessert or sweet treat with little mess. Most of these desserts can be eaten without a fork or spoon so cleanup is easy. Also, they can be eaten standing up! We love these kinds of desserts because they are easy and perfect for parties.

Valentine’s Chocolates and Truffles

Nothing quite says Valentine’s Day quite like chocolate, am I right? These tasty chocolates and truffles can be enjoyed as a dessert or boxed up to be given as gifts. Also, they can be made days (or even weeks) ahead of time. That way you can spend your Valentine’s Day doing… whatever you like doing on Valentine’s Day.

  • Easy Mint Oreo Truffles – A little work goes a long way when making these rich Oreo truffles. The recipe makes a ton!
  • Homemade Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups – These taste like the real thing and are very fun to make and eat.
  • Homemade Almond Joys – These candies are a family favorite. We think they are better than the actual candy bar.
  • Easy Chocolate Truffles – These look and taste impressive, but they are basically foolproof. And only 3 ingredients are needed!
  • Caramel Pecan Truffles – These decadent caramel treats look and taste like chocolate truffles from an expensive candy store. They make a beautiful gift for Valentine’s Day.

Chocolate + Fruit = True Love

Fruit and chocolate combined is just… sexy. Also, the combination is downright delicious. Prepare your chocolate-covered fruit ahead of time or simply make chocolate fondue and dip your favorite fruit as your dessert course.

  • Chocolate Covered Strawberries (see recipe below) – Place on a cupcake for a party dessert option. Use combinations of white chocolate, dark chocolate, and milk chocolate for some color variety to your platter. The perfect treat for Valentine’s Day!
  • Chocolate Fondue – You can’t go wrong with Fondue for Valentine’s Day or any other special occasion. Only two ingredients!
  • Cheesecake Filled Chocolate Covered Strawberries– Try the cheesecake filling with raspberries too! It tastes like a mini cheesecake in every bite.
  • Chocolate Covered Cherries – Because these take some time to set, be sure to plan ahead! Trust me, they are totally worth the wait.

  • Melt chocolate according to package instructions or use a double-boiler method.
We did the double-boiled method using a pressure cooker. We placed 1 cup of water in the pressure cooker and pressed "saute" then placed a large glass bowl over the top. This allows the chocolate to melt and too hot.
