Traditional Easter Dinner

Every year our family gathers together on Easter Sunday to enjoy a traditional ham dinner. On the side, we serve a potato dish, a hot vegetable, and hot homemade rolls. We have our traditional menu plan below, or you can mix and match the recipes below to create your own special Easter dinner.

Easter Appetizers

As family and friends start to gather, we like to set out an appetizer or two. We’ve handpicked four fantastic recipes to elevate your Easter gathering.

Easter Main Dish Recipes

According to marthastewart.com, ham became the meat of choice for Easter dinner because it was more readily available than lamb. However, if ham isn’t your main dish of choice, a roast lamb, pork roast, or a roast beef can also be served for your Easter feast.

As mentioned above, our go-to Easter main-dish is ham. However, we have enjoyed other main dishes as well. If you are looking for a less traditional Easter meal, try one of these recipes using chicken, fish, beef, or pork.

Easter Side Dishes

Hot Potato Side Dishes

You can’t serve a ham dinner without a good hot potato side dish. Typically Easter potatoes are served “casserole-style” in a casserole dish with some kind of sauce and cheese. Some examples of this are funeral potatoes or potatoes au gratin. Our readers have commented saying that they have loved serving our creamy potatoes with peas or our parmesan crusted potato halves with their ham dinners as well. Check them all out and decide for yourself what suits your family best! Any of these Easter dinner ideas will be a winner!

Hot Vegetable Side Dishes

A hot vegetable side dish adds variety, color, and nutrition to an Easter dinner spread. Choose a hot vegetable that will complement the other side dishes on your Easter menu.

Easter Salads

The possibilities are endless when it comes to Easter salads. It’s fun to incorporate hard boiled eggs and spring flavors, like strawberry and lemon. We find ourselves using the following salads time and time again.

Easter Breads

Nothing quite compares to the aroma and taste of freshly baked bread. Homemade rolls are always a good idea. Make extra so you can have ham sandwiches for leftovers! Our classic Easter bread also looks beautiful on the table.

Easter Desserts

When it comes to Easter Desserts and Treats, we don’t mess around. In fact, we love Easter desserts and treats so much, we created an entire, separate post dedicated to them. These tasty treats can be served along with Easter dinner or even as surprises in Easter baskets. They are as fun to make as they are to eat! We featured our Chessmen Banana Pudding with our menu plan below. Here are a few more of our favorites.

Notes

Suggested timing for Easter Dinner preparation:
  1. Prepare the Four Layer Banana Pudding.  This can be made the morning of, or the day ahead.  It can also be made just after starting the Slow Cooker Ham and still have time to refrigerate so it can be served nice and cold.
  2. Prepare the Slow Cooker Ham and take a break for an hour.  Set the table, clean the kitchen, or watch a show on Netflix. 🙂
  3. After the ham has been cooking for about an hour, prepare the Cheesy Potato Casserole.  Once it’s in the oven, you can take another 45 minute break.  If you are making a green salad or other sides, now is a good time to do it.
  4. At this point the ham has been cooking for about 2 hours.  Take it out of the slow cooker and cut it into slices.  Place the slices back in the juices in the slow cooker to keep them warm while you sauté the asparagus.
  5. Sauté the asparagus.
  6. Dinner is ready to go!  Place the asparagus in a pretty serving dish with a spoon or tongs, place the sliced ham on a nice platter with a serving fork, remove the potatoes from the oven and set on the table with a serving spoon.
  7. When you are ready, cut the Four Layer Banana Pudding into slices and serve.

We as everyone else had the t radio nap ham. We definitely had potatoes we had potatoes every nie. Of course we had several vegetables like green beans, broccoli, and corn. The dessert had to be pie for my dad, but the real star was the bunny cake. My mom had a mold for the bunny and it was all decked out in white icing and covered in coconut. The best part of dinner was having all of us together. My four brothers and one sister, my grandmother/( who I miss every day for the past53 years), and sometimes Sister Christina my cousin and Monsigner? Herman Brieght. Now we each have our own traditions but I do miss the family get togethers. Hope your Easter holiday holds A lot of good memories.

I love banana pudding and I adore the King Chessmen cookies. I lived in Greece for many years and it would not be Easter without sweet cheese pies, lamb, goat, and a sweet braided bread with a red egg in the middle as a decoration. Easter is the best time of the year in Greece and I don’t think there is a Greek food I don’t like. I try, since moving back to the states, to always have a few Greek dishes at Easter such as an egg lemon soup and fried sweet cheese pies.

I want to try all your recipes! Each looks like a winner 100%. Being disabled, I will pick at least 2 to add to my husband’s menu.
Growing up, our Great Aunt had at least 7 or more families over after church. Mother’s always contributed, but what a feast she had! A huge table and non stop food passing of everything. I was a big girl when I got to sit at the big table.
I have 2 crock pots. So I’m going to try the slow cooker ham with glaze and the potatoes au gratin. Winners for sure.
    Wishing all a Blessed Easter.

Homemade rolls can either be dipped in gravy or gobbed with blueberry jam. A traditional green salad dressed up with bacon bits, parm and croutons is on the side. Dessert is Gammy’s homemade apple pie with vanilla ice cream, and don’t forget sparkling cider. Cheers!!

  74. 5 stars
I loved the brown sugar ham in the crockpot recipe! But our favorite Easter tradition is having Goldenrod eggs over sausage or ham topped biscuits with a side of roasted asparagus. That would be a bechamel with chopped hard cooked egg whites spooned over the sausage ir ham topped biscuits, then sprinkled with the hard cooked egg yolks that have Bern pressed through a sieve (the “goldenrod” part) and topped with paprika (or cayenne flakes for those who want some heat).

  75. 5 stars

In our family our staple base menu has always been Pineapple Ham with mashed potatoes and steamed brocoli… the rest of the menu depends on who’s coming and what they’ll bring.
I usually have smoked salmon as an entree, deviled eggs is a must as well, some homemade rolls, a spinach salad to accompany the main meal, and whatever scrumptious chocolate dessert I can come up with. 😉 We rarely go hungry.

My favorite Easter dinner is now brunch and a nap 🤭. Strawberry cream cheese stuffed waffles, scrambled eggs with cheddar, sour cream and salsa, bacon (extra chewy), OJ, and hot chocolate with real whipped cream. By the time it is dinner time I’m just beginning to feel normal.

  85. 5 stars
I love Easter Dinner with Ham and Party Potatoes, but one of my favorite things is brunch. We still serve Ham and the potatoes, but add a French toast bake and egg bake… wonderful!

Our favorite Easter dinner is Heavenly Ham from a locally owned grocer, sweet potatoes, grill asparagus, roasted green beans, deviled eggs, last summer’s peaches that were frozen and of course, pies, pies and more pies. (my family loves pie). I’ll make key lime pie, chocolate peanut butter pie, a cheesecake pie and fudge pie. If time allows, we’ll whip up some homemade vanilla ice cream.
The best part is all the family together, the Easter egg hunt in the morning and the grandkids counting the nickel and dimes that were in the plastic eggs.

  91. 5 stars
The brown sugar Crock pot ham, potato salad , green beans And that delicious Looking banana pudding.

  92. 5 stars
Every Easter I make my own honey baked ham, deviled eggs (grandmother’s recipe), cheesy potato casserole, asparagus with hollandaise, quiche, fruit salad, homemade angel food cake with dehydrated strawberries in the whipped cream AND strawberries on the side, mini lemon pound cake egg cakes with pastel colored glaze frosting… and don’t forget the mimosas!

  93. 5 stars
My husband prefers the ham, mashed potatoes, corn and apple pie, but I’ll skip all of that and just have the Banana Pudding please! Thank you for a great post!

  94. 5 stars
Our favorite Easter dinner is ham, twice baked potatoes, Pea and peanut salad, rolls and for desert usually lemon bars.

  95. 5 stars
My family loves a traditional Easter dinner. Honey glazed ham, with pineapple for some tang, mash potatoes, AU gratins, baby sweet carrots, green bean casserole, glazed yams and Hawaiian sweet roles.

  96. 5 stars
My dinner is honey baked ham, mac and cheese, deviled eggs, black eye peas, mashed potatos and apple pie and German chocolate cake.

  97. 5 stars
Our favorite Easter is one with turkey sliders, calico beans, potato salad, chips and brownies for dessert. The middle of the huge dining table holds colored eggs, various candies and Easter grass in a big flat basket. The best part are those around the table, always 💕

Easter Dinner: Well, my Dad would bring home a ham butt and do the cooking normally. He would push Allspice in (I did Not like them) he put it in a Roasting Pan with about 1/2” of a concoction he got from Northern Maine and tent it. He and my Mother would make Scalloped Potatoes, Asparagus and Creamed Onions. There were No Spiral Cut Hans in those days, 65+ years ago! Dad would baste it every 30-45 minutes or so. In the meantime he prepared an Orange Glaze similar to Marmalade that would go on for the final hour. We’d all have some on our plates to spread on the Ham after Dad served it. He would spend 10+ minutes carving it up. Before we had any Ham we would have a simple appetizer of Deviled Eggs and Pickled Herring, a Swedish tradition.

  99. 5 stars
My family’s favorite Easter side is scalloped potatoes and our favorite dessert is carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

  100. 5 stars
My favorite Easter dinner is hands down the traditional dinner of ham, scalloped potatoes (although the idea of Cheesy Potato Casserole-aka Funeral Potatoes is happening this Easter!), green beans, homemade rolls, and Coconut Cake for dessert.

  101. 5 stars
We host Easter brunch at our home. Because we are in Florida, we have the wonderful opportunity to set up tables outdoors on our covered deck. I always make Eggs A’la Goldenrod as everyone looks forward to and love this dish. I also serve a French toast casserole, scrambled eggs, a few bagels and rolls, our traditional Italian Ricotta Pie and a chocolate no-flour cake, bacon, sausage and ham. Because we have vegetarians, meat eaters, vegan and gluten free guests, it gets busy for me in the kitchen. The shortcut of being able to cook the ham in a crock-pot is very helpful. The key-lime pie may be a nice addition to the pastry table. Thank you.

  102. 5 stars
I love this stuff for Easter. I usually make a spiral ham, mashed potatoes and sweet corn. Sometimes I make home made rolls (it depends if I’m up to it or not). I usually have an Easter egg hunt for my grandchildren before dinner (phew!) that’s why I said if I’m up to it lol. My daughter brings the dessert. She always makes something good too lol

  103. 5 stars
I would service a pineapple bread pudding with the dinner. It goes beautifully with the ham .. there are many recipes for it on the internet.

  104. 5 stars
    Brown sugar ham
    Scalloped potatoes
    Home canned green beans
    Home frozen creamed corn
    Broccoli casserole
    7 layer salad
    Rolls

We always have several homemade desserts
Mom always makes pies (coconut, brown sugar, pecan, sweet potato, chocolate (picks 2)
Peanut butter cake or mixed chip bundt cake
    My daughter makes cookies
We always have too much food! Lol

  105. 5 stars
    Hi,
I make honey baked ham, no spiral, mashed potatoes with red chile, corn pudding, tossed salad, and Amish potato rolls. Rolls made large enough for sandwiches the next day or ham and potato chowder……mmmmm I’m getting hungry.

  106. 5 stars
The ham is delicious! I like having a menu for a complete meal. Really helpful for busy cooks. My own favorites for Easter dinner always include ham, potato salad, and fresh asparagus. For dessert, lemon meringue pie really says springtime to me, and kids always love cakes that look like a bunny. Easter memories last a lifetime!

  107. 5 stars
These are all my favorites. For dessert I would usually make the “Pina Colada Poke cake”. Recently, everyone was too stuffed for a big dessert.

  108. 5 stars
We have always had ham mashed potatoes and gravy and corn and rolls , Grandma Bell always made the pies on pecan, one pumpkin, lemon meringue and banana cream.

  109. 5 stars
We celebrate our Easter at noon with a delicious brunch. We have egg casseroles, French toast, ham, biscuits tons and tons of bacon, coffee cakes. After eating we butt eggs. We all pick a hard boiled decorated egg . We start with the youngest and go around in a circle until one person has at least one end of their egg not broken. I am 82 years old and have done this with family since I was born.

  110. 5 stars
In South Georgia I prepare our favorites: Honey baked ham, potato salad, English peas, strawberry pretzel salad , Baby blue salad, yeast rolls, Lemon coconut cake, Chocolate cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

  112. 5 stars
I would make this for my sisters and their family but I don’t eat meat so I would have shrimp with all the sides. My own favorite Easter dinner would be fish, fresh garden salad, green bean casserole and for dessert the English Trifle recipe I grew up with.
I like the way this recipe was presented as a complete meal – really helpful to a new cook.
HAPPY EASTER and thank you for the recipes.

  113. 5 stars
It used to be a big ham dinner with all the fixings. Now I’m alone, husband passed, kids are far away. So it’s a bone in ham slice, my grandmother’s baked corn, sautéed asparagus, mashed potatoes and gravy. Dessert this year will be banana bread cupcakes. Plenty left for the next day.

  114. 5 stars
We always have a wonderful ham, german potato salad, fresh green beans with bacon and freshly baked dinner rolls (with real butter)

Love the banana pudding recipe above!

  115. 5 stars
We always change up Easter dinners. But the favorite dinner is baked ham, sweet potato casserole, A tossed green salad, homemade sour dough rolls, asparagus Spears, and for dessert Cheesecake. Family time is always the best part of Easter!

  116. 5 stars
My family’s favourite Easter lunch (where I live, it’s lunch when we get together) is asado. We are a very meat-centre country and we celebrate we’re allowed meat again with a feast of it *laughs*

  117. 5 stars
We will celebrate with honey baked ham, smoked turkey breast, scalloped potatoes (by daughter in law), Mac & cheese, deviled eggs topped with a jalapeño slice, green bean casserole, Texas Roadhouse rolls, and Rum Cake!

In our family my nana had a bunny cake pan that she gifted my daughter and after she passed my daughter had promised to make that cake for Easter and she has now she is a mom and she will have a blast with her son like i did with my nana. I miss family traditions.

  119. 5 stars
We love ham, macaroni and cheese, green beans, sweet potato casserole, broccoli casserole, deviled eggs, rolls, and banana pudding. I put my ham or macaroni and cheese in my crockpot. I have more room in my oven for my sweet potato casserole and broccoli casserole. I use leftover ham for omelets or ham sandwiches/biscuits.

  120. 5 stars
Looking guests to trying some of these recipes. We don’t have a set Easter meal menu. Make various deserts for family’s but whatever is on hand works for us.

  121. 5 stars
I love this so does everyone else in my family 10/10❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  122. 5 stars
I love this recipe. For Easter Dinner, I love to make Ham, Funeral Potatoes and asparagus. For dessert and Angel food cake is perfect.

  123. 5 stars
My family and I love Easter ham with potatoes and corn and kings Hawaiian rolls. I won’t be making one the eater money is just too tight. I am making a homemade carrot cake though!

  124. 5 stars
I love the sides the best. My Grandma always made Watergate Salad with the pistachio pudding and pineapple and heart attack potatoes. Then there is her homemade bread to die for.

    1. 5 stars
What a great menu. We have had a similar menu passed down from my mother and mother-in-law. We cannot go without the Company Potatoes my mother-in-law made every year. I also made the same bunny cake.
I will be making your Four Layer Banana Pudding. I believe the grandchildren will love it.

  125. 5 stars
My family’s favorite Easter Dinner is ham, potato casserole, white shoe-peg sweet corn, deviled eggs, dinner rolls and for dessert, coconut cake, lemon meringue pie, and chocolate cream pie.

  126. 5 stars
This looks great! When I was young, my Nana would have turkey. My mom later started cooking a fabulous leg of lamb with little potatoes alongside. WOW! I wish I could have lamb like that at Easter again.

  127. 5 stars
I make an easy corned beef dinner on St Patty’s day. One can corned beef, one can tomato sauce, chopped cabbage and a little water. Serve over rice.

  128. 5 stars
Love your Easter menu. It’s much the same as ours other than we will also grill a tri tip or 2 depending on how many we are hosting. Deviled eggs are a must! And who doesn’t like creamed peas! Thank you for sharing!

  129. 5 stars
Very traditional but we have a family and friends potluck and Easter egg hunt for the kids after church. We have all kinds of wonderful food and a ton of desserts. If the weather permits we eat outside. Sometimes was can up to 30 or more. If you leave hungry, well I can’t even imagine🥰
Love the cheesy potatoes using mushroom soap. Great idea.

  130. 5 stars
MY favorite Easter dinner is all about the bread and sides! Cheesy potato casserole, homemade rolls, or easter bread looks fantastic, and spring vegetables, like asparagus!! AS time goes on, I am less a fan of ham. (That should be a song, “less a fan of ham.” ) I would replace it with some yummy chicken with an amazing honey garlic sauce! THAT would be a fantastic and favorite Easter dinner! Oh and that fabulous Mandarin Orange cake!

  131. 5 stars
Delicious is what I remember our Easter dinner being when I was growing up with 6 younger siblings. Everyone had to enjoy and everyone got to participate in making it. It was usually a ham with garlic mashed potatoes and peas for the main meal. We did have a salad and then for the treat afterwards was sometimes a vanilla frosted lamb cake with ice cream.

  132. 5 stars
I absolutely love creamed peas! The whole menu sounds delicious, but give me all of those creamed peas!

  133. 5 stars
Can’t wait to make this on Saturday for an early Easter family dinner and the weekend after for my husband’s side when they are at our home.

My favorite things that I make and gets requested is a macaroni, corn and cheese recipe. One year I didn’t make it and the family gave me so much business about not making it. They make me make it for every holiday gathering. That and the bunny cake that you have posted. Two of my aunts have their names on each ear to take home with them.

  134. 5 stars
    Love the recipes!
Looks like a Southern Easter dinner!
I grew up with a baked ham and red eye gravy, deviled eggs, potato salad, homemade yeast rolls and asparagus, sometimes macaroni and cheese instead of potato salad.

  135. 5 stars
Growing up in Hawaii in the 60’s we ate Spam and rice for Easter. If we were lucky, we’d get Kalua Pork and coleslaw.

Today we eat ham and I’ve found a really good Kalua Pork slow cooker recipe I can use here in Seattle.

  136. 5 stars
I love a traditional Easter Dinner and the food show for your Traditional Easter Dinner is the exact same as we I have done for years. You can’t go wrong with any of those foods. We have made it quite a tradition in our family and no reason to change it as everyone loves it!

  137. 5 stars
We usually have honey & brown sugar glazed ham, mashed potatoes, dumplings, green bean’s, candied carrot’s & green salad with strawberries & orange’s. We have several different pie’s, cheesecake, cupcake’s & cream horn’s. All homemade of course. My family have different taste & I like to please them all.

  139. 5 stars
This this is a wonderful Easter meal. The banana pudding sounds delicious. I usually make a cheesecake with fresh strawberries on top . Love all of your recipes. Oh have to have deviled eggs also

  140. 5 stars
My favorite traditional Easter dinner is all about the sides. Potato salad, deviled eggs, and macaroni and cheese. Banana pudding for dessert

    1. 5 stars
Easter dinner has to be roast lamb. All my family sit together and enjoy each others company, and especially the food. Pudding might be a key lime pie, or something similar.

  141. 5 stars
My favorite Easter dinner is ham, cheesy potato casserole and asparagus. I can’t wait to add the banana pudding into the tradition. And we always have mac n cheese for all the kids! Happy Easter everyone! 🐰 🐣

  142. 5 stars
Our traditional Easter dinner is turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberries, creamed corn casserole, pickles, jello salad, and carrots. Our tradition is to do this meal on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Yes, same meal for all occasions. The only item that changes is the dessert. Usually pie though.

  143. 5 stars
All of these recipes are great! I have tried most of them already but have seen some tweaks I can use.
I am planning on ham, garlic mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, salad, knoxblocks for the young grandchilldren, and carrot cake for dessert…

  144. 5 stars
We always had roast leg of lamb, sometimes also had ham, always had mashed potates, carrots & asparagus with hollandaise sauce

  145. 5 stars
Ham with pineapple and maple syrup. Baked macaroni and cheese. Deviled eggs 🥚. Mashed potatoes and gravy.

  146. 5 stars
We have to make deviled eggs with ham and we do the old fashion way of making banana pudding but this year we will try the 4 layer banana pudding recipe. Yummy

  147. 5 stars
For years and years ham for Easter has been our family tradition. I loved it as a child when my mother prepared it, I shared it with my beloved husband when we were married and now tradition has been passed on to our son and daughter. Cannot go wrong with ham, potatoes, 1 – 2 veggie casseroles and warm, buttered rolls!

  148. 5 stars
Glazed spiral ham, scalloped potatoes, oven-roasted asparagus, buttermilk dinner rolls, and layered carrot cake for dessert! 🙂 Happy Easter, everyone!

  149. 5 stars
Crockpot Ham, baked beans. And corn pudding are my go to Easter Dishes. The Cheesy Potatoes will make a great addition.

  150. 5 stars
Love these ideas! To me the perfect meal for Easter is honey baked ham with green beans & mashed potatoes with dutch apple pie for dessert!

  151. 5 stars
Easter Dinner includes honey-glazed ham, rosemary-infused lamb chops, smashed redskins, cheesy hash brown casserole, homemade Mac n cheese, sweet potato casserole, asparagus with hollandaise, pickled eggs, deviled eggs, roasted Brussel sprouts, rolls and we love the chessman banana cream pie! Of course, there are more delicious desserts, but the chessman banana cream pie is permanently gone.

  152. 5 stars
Easter sweet bread is a must at Easter. Other favourites are ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans and a pistachio lush. I also make homemade dinner rolls. Lemon meringue pie always finishes off our dinner.

  153. 5 stars
All looks good! Our tradition is also ham, candied sweet potatoes, deviled eggs, etc. but this year my hubby has requested a garlic herb flavored pork loin from Smithfield and butternut squash. Still have to make the deviled eggs, though!! I’ll try your recipe for this year’s dessert since we don’t have a traditional Easter dessert.

  154. 5 stars
Both the crockpot ham and cheesy potatoes are my go to Easter. You just can’t wrong with this delicious food.

    1. 5 stars
Ham, sweet potatoes, green beans, sweet Hawaiian rolls with butter and desserts Mom and Gram(s) always make our holiday meals so special and delicious. I can’t wait to try the 4 layer banana pudding and the cheesy potato casserole as they sound soooo good. Thank you for such wonderful ideas/recipes

  155. 5 stars
I just went through every recipe.
I can’t wait to make the 4 layer banana pudding. It’s my husband ‘s favorite and this version will have him smiling all day!!

  156. 5 stars
I woke up stressed out that I haven’t pulled together a plan for Easter dinner. You have saved me!!!
These recipes are just what I needed!!!
Happy Easter to you and your family 😊

  157. 5 stars
I love all the recipes posted but if I had to pick one it would be the glazed ham and cheese potatoes. Ham always seemed traditional at Easter at my moms house and it brings back warm memories with the family around the table. I really like the Easter Bread. It adds colour and it is special for the little ones.

  158. 5 stars
The cheesy potato casserole! So good!!! Didn’t change anything and wouldn’t change anything. My daughter makes a version with fresh diced potatoes and I like this recipe better, by far! The cubed potatoes give too much potato. This recipe is a much better blend.

  159. 5 stars
Just wanted to let you know I tried the Coconut Cream Pie recipe from last week. It took time to make but everyone raved and I don’t think I’ve had better.
Thank you so much. Enjoy your recipes/

  160. 5 stars
Cheesy potato casserole is a family favorite and me make ours the same as you do yours! Love it! 🙂 Happy Easter everyone!

  161. 5 stars
These recipes for the Easter dinner menu are the best for the perfect Easter dinner. It brings back memories from the past of the family Easter festivities when my parents were still alive, and everyone gathered for this annual meal. It’s a tradition worth continuing. The spiral ham and cheesy potato casserole are my favorites.

  162. 5 stars
The slow cooker ham with brown sugar and maple….the cheesy potato casserole are my pick. At 84 years of age, quick and easy are the only way to go. Thanks so much for the recipes.
    A blessed Easter to all.

  163. 5 stars
All of the recipes look wonderful. I think the potato casserole and the four layer banana pudding are my favorite.

  164. 5 stars
It’s hard for me to choose between the Easy Key Like Pie or the Strawberry Pretzel Salad. Both are 5 stars! Happy Easter everyone! He is Risen!

  165. 5 stars
This is my favorite meal. Love asparagus and those potatoes are great. And who would not have the ham. Yum, yum, yum Then for desert Coconut Cream Pie. Your recipes are the best ever.

  166. 5 stars
Our family loves these Easter recipes, especially the Strawberry Pretzel Salad! An added bonus in this post is the idea list for leftover ham, which we tend to have. One favorite of ours is the Ham Fried Rice. It’s quick and easy, filling, flavorful, and pairs perfectly with Asian-themed meals. It also feeds an army. Win win!

  167. 5 stars
I have to say the spiral ham would be my favorite. Although I think you have some, actually, the most, of the best recipes around! Just saying!! Maybe with some half baked potatoes and asparagus then coconut crème pie for desert and the bunny cake for the kids! Happy Easter

  168. 5 stars
I love the crock pot ham recipe & cheesy potatoes.
Thank you so much for all of these delicious recipes.
    Nancy

  170. 5 stars
Family loves, ham, cheesy potatoes and asparagus. I usually make a carrot cake, but, your lemon bundt cake looks so good I think I will make that this year., wish me luck breaking tradition.

  171. 5 stars
Thank you for showing so many wonderful recipes that helped me plan my Easter dinner.
I will be making the Slow Cooker Ham with Maple and Brown Sugar. When I made this before it was a hit and left my oven free for other things. One thing that I will add that is not on your list is my sister’s recipe for a wonderful mustard sauce that is to die for and that will be served on the side. To that I will add the Perfect Mashed Potatoes, the Sweet Sauteed Asparagus, and Homemade Dinner Rolls. For dessert, it will be everyone’s favourite, Coconut Cream Pie. Yum

  172. 5 stars
I’m a huge fan of the ham, cheesey potatoes. Asparagus and deviled eggs. So yummy.
I’m also in love with the Panoramic Sugar Easter Eggs. I have made 26 of them in the last two weeks. Some with my Grandkids and some with my Primary Activity Day Girls. Everyone has so much fun making them.

  173. 5 stars
Bunny cake is always a hit with the grandchildren and they love helping make it and adding the decorative details!

Funeral potatoes are also a 5 star item. Easy to prepare and they feed a crowd!

  174. 5 stars
I think I will go with the traditional Easter dinner as shown this year. I love how you show the whole dinner for us so we don’t have to put more thought into it. The banana pudding and cheesy potato casserole are favorites here. I’ve never tried the ham in the crockpot, so that will be new, along with sweet asparagus. I may also make our favorite honey butter carrots. I would love to try the beautiful Easter bread with the colored eggs and the cute bunny cake; but I have to be realistic about how much I can actually do without exhausting myself before everyone gets here! 😂

  175. 5 stars

Love the crock pot brown sugar ham. We look forward to it each Easter the rest is just over the top! Rolls fill the house with an amazing aroma along with the ham. The asparagus is a must for my girls. I’ve always roasted it, but I’m going to try the sweet recipe this time.

  177. 5 stars
All of these sound delicious. My favorite is the brown sugar ham with creamy cheesy potatoes casserole.

  178. 5 stars
Everything looks delicious but I think I would choose the Traditional Easter Dinner. We always have ham and asparagus at Easter and the Funeral Potatoes just set it off.

  179. 5 stars
The Honey Baked Ham would be my choice of best recipe! Star of the show for way less than buying it ‘honeyed’ for you! Thanks for the chance to win!

  180. 5 stars
My favorite from this list of delicious goodies is the “Four Layer Banana Pudding!” Thank you! Take care and have a nice Easter! Lisa

  181. 5 stars
I’m not home for Easter this year, but if home I would do a traditional Easter dinner. I would add your recipe for peas. I can’t wait to get home to try that one. I hope that you and your family have a blessed Easter season. Thank you for your wonderful recipes!

  182. 5 stars
Honey baked ham in the oven is the best.I make a similar version every year for Easter.
This is as good if not better than the original recipe !

  183. 5 stars
My favorite is Oven Roasted Asparagus. I’ve always been afraid of serving guests Asparagus not being confident in it coming out right and this Oven Roasted Asparagus is fantastic. Now I can serve it to dinner guests and feel confident.

I would definitely give this recipe 5 stars!!

I’m anxious to try the Slow Cooker Spiral Ham with maple syrup, brown sugar and pineapple juice. The flavors and tenderness of the ham cooked in a slow cooker will be perfect. Funeral potatoes are a favorite as well. Its so true, here in Utah, they are a staple at funerals and I never get tired of them.

    1. Thank you, Marti! I hope you enjoy the ham. It is delicious! I never get tired of funeral potatoes either. They are just so good. 🙂

  187. 5 stars
All of them look delicious, but for Easter, I would have to say the honey baked ham, with Mash Potatoes and Vegetables. For dessert, my family and I would have the Lemon Bundt Cake. I would give it 5 Stars.

  188. 5 stars
I’m loving the slow cooker ham with maple and brown sugar. It looks delicious and I think my hubby would definitely approve.

  189. 5 stars
Slow-cooked spiral ham. We always have ham at Easter with cheesy potatoes, salad, homemade rolls, and a bunny cake made by the kids or grandchildren. That’s how it has been and continues to be done in our home. Good times and fun with an Easter egg hunt.

  190. 5 stars
The spiral slow cooker ham recipe. I love the idea of cooking in a slow cooker especially for a spiral because they can dry out in the oven. Love the ingredients.

  191. 5 stars
The creamed peas and potatoes is my favorite! My dad did the cooking in our house and he always made me creamed peas…this brings back so many memories that I hold dear. He passed away in Jan 2011 and I miss him so, but this warms my heart!

I love the slow cooker ham recipe. Cooking a ham in the slow cooker leaves the oven for other sides. A great time saver when planning your Easter Meal. You can also have easy clean up if you use a slow cooker liner!

Easter dinner is really the only holiday where tables are filled with colorful, succulent dishes and rich, indulgent desserts. It’s an amazing feast for all the senses and the delight of the eyes and taste buds. One of the best traditional dishes that fits this roomba e6 description perfectly is ham glazed with a sweet and tangy sauce. This mouth-watering dish is then baked to perfection and coupled with a variety of delectable sides and fresh fruit salad. Vegetables and side dishes like roasted asparagus and sautéed spinach can also go on the table, as well as your favorite rolls and assorted dessert.

    1. The pudding is mixed with the whipped cream mixture and added in the middle layer.

      1. Absolutely – Crock Pot is a brand of slow cooker, so they are basically the same thing. Thanks for asking!

My Mom always made leg of lamb for Easter dinner, served with mint jelly. Then all the traditional sides.

If you already have thick slices of ham, would it work to put the ham slices in the crockpot or will the ham “curdle?”
And would you still cook it on low?
    Thank you! 🙂

  226. Nice recipes, but nothing new or different than the usual dinner & sides ideas. Doesn’t anyone ever make a delicious “Leg Of Lamb” for Easter?
